What Our Customers Think......

Hello,

I thought I would contact you to let you know how a Leatherman that I have had since 1999 helped save my daughters finger!

She, (my 16thmth old) was helping my wife clean the house yesterday when she got her finger caught in the drainage holes of the mop bucket. She tried using butter, olive oil and ice to free her finger, but it didn't work. My wife then range the fire brigade who arrived after about 20 mins and thought how on earth do we deal with this! As their gas powered pliers for cutting open cars are a bit too big!!! They hunted around for a pair of pliers but couldn't find anything suitable. They then found my Leatherman which I had fortunately left of the sideboard. It did the job brilliantly and she was free within minutes.

Later that afternoon we went onto the internet and bought 2 Leatherman Kicks to donate to the Retained Fire Crew at Sturminster Newton Station here in Dorset just in case this happens to someone else! The boss of Dorset Fire Brigade range my wife later that day asking if they could write an article to put in the local paper.

Many thanks for producing such a fantastic tool, I have used it many times at work as a Countryside Ranger and now the Fire Brigade will be using them too!!!!

Geoffrey Hedges, Luton, Bedfordshire

Dear Leatherman,

As a member of the London Ambulance Service I have found the Leatherman to be a tool that I could not, and will not be without.

I have had Leatherman's for many years starting with the PST, moving up to the Supertool, and now the Wave. I also have the Crunch and a Micra, you could say that I'm a bit of a gadget freak......but you would be wrong, I work in a stressful job that requires me to help people in all kinds of situations, car crashes, collapsed behind their doors, fires etc, just use your imagination and I've just about done it. After twelve years with the Ambulance Service, the one thing I find hasn't changed is the quality of Leatherman. I just can't count the amount of time these Multi-Tools have helped me and my colleagues out, there are just too many occasions that I have used my Leatherman, from the mundane, to the dirty and difficult.

What I'm trying to say is thanks for some great tools that have never let me down, and will continue to help me in those awkward moments when I need a tool for the job and it's hanging off of my belt.

Keep up the good work.

Geoff

Dominic McCarthy - RDF Television, Scrapheap Challenge

Dear Leatherman,

Thank you very much for the use of your excellent tools. The teams on Scrapheap Challenge have found their Supertools and Waves invaluable in their pursuit of the Scrapheap Challenge Trophy. In the build stage, the teams can whip out their Leatherman tools to loosen a bolt or a screw or to cut a rope or sheet without returning to the workshop for a heavy toolbox. Leatherman tools really come into their own in the testing stage of the programme when the teams can make those vital last minute adjustments, right up on the starting line. Since we seem to share the same spirit of innovation and both embody a great deal of practical design, I speak for the whole production team when I say that we all look forward to a long and happy association with Leatherman Tools.
