Tool Tales

November 2009

Surfing with the Wave!

I purchased my Wave almost 10 years ago when I started working for a local Internet provider; it has been an EDC item since. The form and function have served me well hunting or working on computers. I have used the saw for cutting holes for running network wiring or the scissors for cutting straws down to size for my son's drinks, plus lots of cat 5 cables with the wire cutters... It could do this while I'm asleep. A better well rounded tool I could not have designed myself.

I have tried SOG, Gerber, Schrade, Buck... none have proved as reliable and trust worthy. I have used the thing so much I sent it in for a tune-up to make sure it's ok. I purchased a Blast just as a backup and a Juice for dress carry. The number one thing I have always judged a tool with is for most computers you need a good #2 Philips. The Original Wave, the Blast and this Juice have got good ones! I feel naked without one of them in my pocket or pouch!

Tell Us Your Tale

OK, you voyeur, you. Enough of reading other people's stories. It's time you told your own tale of gripping heroism or even just neat DIY'ism. We know there's a Shakespeare in you somewhere. Don't make us use the Steens to find it.
