Important Notice: COVID-19 Update (2nd September 2020)

We are continuing to monitor the guidelines provided by the UK Government and Public Health England to ensure the safety of our employees.

As the lockdown restrictions have gradually been lifted, we have been able to resume our Warranty service. However, along with many other companies, we are still working with a reduced number of staff so it may take us a little longer to process this for you.

We recommend that you return your Warranty on a secure trackable service so that you can check that it has been delivered to us. We aim to have your Warranty processed within 15 working days.

We respectfully ask for you not to enquire on its progress during this time as we will be unable to respond to your emails until after the 15 working days have passed.

We apologise for any inconvenience that this causes you and ask for your patience during this challenging time.

Leatherman USA take extraordinary measures to ensure that your Leatherman product will give you many years of dependable service.

Whitby & Co (UK) Ltd are the exclusive Importer and Distributer / Warranty Centre for Leatherman in the UK and Ireland. If your product requires attention, we'll be happy to take a look at it for you.


We are unable to process any warranty for products purchased from Amazon on, or after 1st July 2020. You will need to return your defective product to the Seller via Amazon's Returns Process.


We are unable to carry out repairs, send replacement parts or engrave any multitool.

Leatherman's Warranty policy covers tools that have failed as a result of a material defect and / or workmanship. Under Leatherman's 25 year warranty, tools will be replaced, at our discretion, with the same or comparable model if your returned tool has been retired.


This warranty covers only the original / primary owner and does not cover abuse, alteration, theft, loss or unauthorised and / or unreasonable use of your Leatherman product. This warranty does not cover accessories, sheaths (exception: Ainsworth Sheath is covered by a 2-year warranty), imprinting, engraving, colour finishes, unauthorised repairs, modifications, cleaning or sharpening. Any of the aforementioned will be returned to sender with the exception of the Ainsworth Sheath.

This warranty covers products purchased through an authorised dealer and proof of purchase from an authorised dealer may be required.

Our warranty program covers tools purchased for personal use only. This warranty does not cover tools purchased from auctions or flea markets with the intent to resell repaired or refurbished tools.

Leatherman Tool Group is not liable for incidental or consequential damages. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above exclusion may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights, which vary from jurisdiction to jurisdiction.


Step 1: Package the tool securely

Be sure to choose an insured and trackable delivery service as Leatherman is not responsible for products that do not arrive in the mail. Please retain your shipment tracking information until we confirm receipt of your warranty product

Step 2: Complete a Warranty Returns Form

Please ensure that you download and complete the Warranty Returns Form below. The form must be completed, signed and included with your product in order for us to process your warranty request.

  • Complete a separate form for each tool being returned.
  • Failure to complete and enclose a Warranty Returns Form will result in your tool being returned to you in the condition it was received.
  • Do not send sheaths or accessories as these are not covered by Leatherman's warranty policy (except Ainsworth Sheath)

Your Warranty return will be inspected by our Warranty team. We'll aim to have your warranty resolved within 10 working days of receipt. Please do not email us to check on the progress of your warranty unless you have not heard from us within 10 days.

Step 4: We Do the Rest

Besides fixing your documented problem, we will ship your product back to you at our expense using a trackable shipping service.

For warranties outside of the UK and Ireland, you must contact your local authorised Service Centre. To find your local authorised service centre, click here and go to the "International" tab to find your location. Depending on the tool defect, they will decide whether to repair your tool or replace it with a product of equal or greater value.


We have made a running change to the knife blades on the Skeletool and Skeletool CX multi-purpose tools. If you return one of these tools for warranty you may receive the new configuration as a result of the repair/replacement. The blade material has not been changed on either model, but the cutting edge has been changed to the following:

Skeletool: (ORIG) straight-edge blade (NEW) combo straight/serrated edge

Skeletool CX: (ORIG) combo straight/serrated edge (NEW) straight-edge blade
